Introduction to GStreamer Libav

The GStreamer Libav package contains GStreamer plugins for Libav (a fork of FFmpeg).

Install GStreamer Libav by running the following commands:

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson setup ..            \
      --prefix=/usr       \
      --buildtype=release &&
ninja

To run the tests, issue: ninja test.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install

--buildtype=release: Specify a buildtype suitable for stable releases of the package, as the default may produce unoptimized binaries.

Installed Library: libgstlibav.so in /usr/lib/gstreamer-1.0
